A silver coin, perfect as a gift for an art and history lover. It is decorated with an amber insert and the mintage was limited to 550 pieces. It depicts the famous painting "Adam and Eve" by Albrecht Durer.
Adam and Eve are two paintings by Albrecht Dürer made in 1507. Both works were made in his native Nuremberg, fresh after the artist's trip to Italy. In the 17th century they were in the Prague collection of Emperor Rudolf II. During the Thirty Years' War, the paintings were taken to Sweden by Swedish troops and for a short time they were in the possession of the then Queen Christina of the Vasa dynasty. In 1654, the paintings were given to the King of Spain Philip IV Habsburg. During the reign of King Charles III, the paintings were presented at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of St. Ferdinand. Since 1827 they have been in the collection of the Prado in Madrid, which was exhibited to the public in 1833.
