The Personification of Freedom is an integral part of the history of the United States. This coin is a full legal tender in the USA and has a government guarantee as to its legality and purity of the bullion. An interesting fact is that the "American Eagle" is minted with an inverted stamp - the obverse is 180 degrees inverted to the reverse. The obverse of the coin depicts the personification of Liberty and Liberation, walking with the attributes of peace: an olive branch and a torch. At its feet you can see the seat of the U.S. Congress, and in the background, sunshine. On the reverse features an image of an Eagle, designed by Jennie Norris.
