Another coin from the "Celestial Beauty" series. This time it depicts Apollo and his Muses. According to Greek legends, Apollo was the god of countless things such as poetry, the sun, light, beauty and so on. He was also the god of healing. The Muses, on the other hand, were the goddesses of art and science. The centres of worship of the Muses were Delphi, Parnassus and Helicon in Beotia. This silver coin shows the beautiful Muses dancing around the divine Apollo. Every detail is perfectly visible, thanks to the high relief. The coin is struck from five ounces of pure silver.
