It was struck in the shape of the Aquaman logo. The mintage of the coin is 5,000 pieces and it was packed in a thematic box with a certificate of authenticity. Aquaman is a superhero appearing in comic books published by DC Comics. He can live underwater, swim at speeds of 100 miles per hour and communicate telepathically with oceanic life forms. In recent years, his trident, commonly associated with the Greek Poseidon or the Roman Neptune, has become an increasingly common weapon. In IGN's list of the 100 greatest comic book heroes, he was ranked 52nd.
