We present you the fourth and the last coin of the "Four Horsemen Of The Apocalypse" series. The next rider is the Pale Horse, arriving on a pale, white horse. The Christian apocalyptic vision holds that the Four Horsemen are to usher in a divine apocalypse upon the world as harbingers of the Last Judgement. One reading links the Four Horsemen to the history of the Roman Empire, following the era in which the Book of Revelation was written. This means that they are a symbolic prediction of the later history of the Empire. The coin is struck in oxidised stamping, decorated with selective gilding, and the details of the reverse are highlighted in high relief. The mintage of this issue is only 500 pieces!
