In the wild they are found especially in the region of South Asia. They can be found in the waters of Pakistan, India, Korea and the Malay Peninsula. The most widespread in aquaria is the great milfoil. The fish can appear in many colour variants. The most common is blue, red, although it can also be green, yellow, even bi-coloured or multicoloured. Eclecticism is the combining or mixing of different styles, theories or ideas to produce a complementary view of a subject or issue.
