The fourth coin from the "Goddesses of Health" series. Brigid was a Celtic druidic goddess. She was considered the patron of healers, fertility and poetry, but also blacksmiths, craftsmen and warriors. She was also the goddess of birth, which is why she was asked for a happy childbirth. Brigid was particularly popular in Ireland, so much so that she is often referred to as the 'Goddess of Ireland'. She was an extremely resilient, strong and powerful goddess who guarded the Eternal Fire at her shrine in County Kildare, Ireland.  On February 1, the Celts celebrated the Imbolic Sabbath, known as the Festival of Light, which was Brigid's feast day. The first Abbess of Kildare, Brigid of Ireland, daughter of King Dubhtach of Leinster, is often associated with her figure - sometimes to the extent that she was also regarded as a purely mythological figure, despite the fact that historical records of her life exist in the abbey. In time her figure was replaced by St Brigid. There are many indications that the figure of Brigid may have been a model for the Lady of the Lake from the Arthurian legends. The coin was minted from pure silver. The digital printing technique perfectly illustrates the goddess, highlighting even the smallest details of this unique coin.
