Bushidō was an unwritten set of ethical rules for Japanese samurai. This code aimed at making the fiefs dependent on their masters, making them possibly perfect soldiers and servants. The samurai ethos was shaped from the Heian period until the liquidation of the class division at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The coin was struck from two ounces of pure silver. To give it an antique finish, it has been oxidised. One of the tigers was decorated with digital printing and gilding.
