Blackbeard was an English pirate, between 1716 and 1718, raging in the Caribbean Sea, one of the most dangerous pirates of his period. He became a captain as a result of a rebellion inspired by himself on the ship on which he served. He initially led attacks on other ships on the ship The Revenge of Queen Anna. At the peak of his career - in spring 1718 - he had 4 ships, 60 guns and about 400 men. He died during a skirmish with two ships commanded by English Lieutenant Robert Maynard acting on the order of the Governor of Virginia Alexander Spotswood. His treasure was never found (the largest single loot is estimated at 325 thousand pounds; today it is equivalent to 6 million pounds). This impressive coin was struck from a combination of silver and copper to achieve a diameter of 80 mm. On the reverse side there is a figure of a Chernobrode on his ship. The background was covered with copper to distinguish the silver Blackbeard on it. The whole is delivered with the certificate of authenticity in a thematic package.
