The first coin from the new series "Puzzle Treasures", dedicated to the art of puzzles and masterpieces of art. It was made of 1 g of pure silver and 60 g of copper. The mintage was limited to 2,000 pieces. The first coin depicts the painting Lady with an Ermine by Leonardo da Vinci. The painting was created between about 1483 and 1490 in Milan. It is currently held in the Museum of the Princes Czartoryski in Cracow and is the only work by this artist in Poland. The portrait shows Cecilia Gallerani, the mistress of the artist's patron at the time, Duke Ludovico. The painting contains symbolic elements. The woman is holding an ermine in her arms, which is not an accidental element because ermine in Greek is galée, so it is a reference to the name of the portrayed lady, Gallerani. It also points to her connections with the commissioner of the painting, Duke Ludovico Sforza, who was a knight of the prestigious Order of ermine and therefore was nicknamed by his contemporaries "Ermellino", meaning "ermine".
