Another coin in the "Music Legends" series. Silver coin minted in honour of the legendary British singer. David Bowie (actually David Robert Jones) was a British singer, composer and songwriter. He started to perform as David Bowie so as not to be confused with the singer of The Monkees, named Davy Jones. Apart from making solo recordings, he also worked as a producer of such artists as Lou Reed, Iggy Pop and The Stooges. He went down in history as one of the rock artists with the highest number of albums sold in history. In the course of fifty-two years of his career, the circulation of all his albums has reached 140 million copies worldwide. In 1996 he was honoured with a place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In 2002 he was ranked 29th on the BBC's list of the 100 Most Outstanding Britons. In 2004 "Rolling Stone" magazine ranked him 39th in the list of the 100 most outstanding music artists of all time.  The coin is delivered in a thematic box with certificate of authenticity.
