The coin depicts the sculpture 'Disillusion', also known as 'The Release from Deception'.  The reverse of the coin shows a detailed image of the 'Disillusion' sculpture, made by the Genoese artist Francesco Queirolo in the 18th century. The masterpiece depicts a fisherman being freed from a net by an angel. The net symbolises sin. By freeing the man, the angel frees him from his evil deeds and presents him with a Bible that rests at his feet. The obverse shows a detail of the statue: the fisherman's hand impaled in the net.
