Coin minted by the National Bank of Poland, especially for the EXPO 2005 exhibition. It was a world exhibition, organized in Japan. The main theme of this exhibition was "Wisdom of Nature". The exhibition was attended by 121 countries that prepared their national pavilions. Attempts were made to build the pavilions from recycled materials (processed from waste) or materials that can be converted into other, useful things after use.  The Polish Pavilion was designed to refer both to the main slogan Expo 2005 and to the leading theme of the Polish presentation, which was to expose the silhouette of Fryderyk Chopin and the salt mine in Wieliczka.  The coin's reverse presents an image of a pair of cranes. On the left side there is a pine tree and an inscription: EXPO. On the obverse there is a stylized image of a fragment of the Fryderyk Chopin monument from the Royal Łazienki Park in Warsaw.
