Gandalf the Grey is an extremely wise mage sent to Middle-earth by the Valar in the Second Age to support the Free Peoples in their fight against Sauron. He was the founder of the Order of Heren Istarion and the second most important (after Saruman) member of it, as well as the most famous wizard in the history of the world. After his death and restoration to the world of the living as Gandalf the White, he became head of the Istarions and later president of the White Council.  The coin is supplied in a display-ready wooden case inside a themed box.
