This time it presents the fairy tale Hansel and Gretel. It tells the story of two children who, left in a forest by their stepmother, meet an evil witch. The fairy tale was written down and published in 1812 by the Grimm brothers in their collection of fairy tales.
The coin features an engraving that creates a spatial image of the wicked witch. In the centre is Hansel and Gretel, coloured using UV printing technology. The entirety of the coin has been given an antique finish, giving the coin intersting chiaroscuro.
On the obverse there is a forest and the inscription "Sadly Ever After" ("They lived long and unhappy lives").
