We present the fourth installment of the Tudor Beasts series, which references British heraldry. On each of the coins in this series, we see one of ten mythical creatures. In the featured piece, we have the silhouette of the Seymour Unicorn. The unicorn symbolizes the marital union of Jane Seymour with Henry VII, marking the king's third marriage. Her marriage to King Henry VIII took place on May 30, 1536, just a few days after the execution of his second wife, Anne Boleyn. Jane Seymour gave birth to the king's son, the future King Edward VI, who became the heir to the throne. Unfortunately, her reign was short-lived, as she passed away after giving birth to her son in October 1537. On the reverse side of the platinum coin, we observe the heraldic unicorn holding a heraldic shield in front of it. The coin's name, issuance date, weight, and platinum content designation are placed around it. On the obverse side, we are presented with the left profile of the current monarch of the United Kingdom, Charles III, along with the coin's face value of 100 British pounds.
