Interestingly, this church has remained practically unchanged in terms of construction from the moment it was built until today, which is unique in the world. Today it is a valuable monument of wooden architecture in the southern Lesser Poland and Podkarpacie region. In 2003 it was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The church is the largest, Gothic, wooden sacral building in Europe, and at the same time it is the oldest wooden church in Poland.
