The obverse features the portrait of President Paul Kruger along with the inscriptions "SUID-AFRIKA" and "SOUTH AFRICA". The reverse depicts a springbok antelope, the symbol of South Africa. On either side of it are the numbers representing the minting year, and below is the inscription "Fyngoud 1/10oz fine gold", indicating the content of pure gold.
