The coin's reverse features a beautiful image of the Nuestra Señora de Atocha, an unlucky Spanish galleon that sank during a hurricane off the Florida Keys in 1622. At the time of its sinking, the galleon was heavily laden with copper, silver, gold and other valuable goods. The coin contains a fragment from one of the silver bars that sank more than 400 years ago. Around the reverse are the inscriptions: "NUESTRA SEÑORA DE ATOCHA". - the name of the coin.
