The lunar series refers to 12 animals that are representatives of the Chinese lunar calendar. The year 2024 belongs to the dragon and in Chinese mythology it is a majestic beast that inhabits rivers, lakes, oceans and wanders in the sky. The Chinese zodiac sign of the Dragon falls in the years: 1928, 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000, 2012 and 2024. The gold coin was minted in the gold standard - Au.9999, weighing 1/10 of a troy ounce, in the proof standard. An important element is the limited mintage of the coin, numbering only 5,000 pieces. Each coin has a numbered certificate of authenticity and original packaging. The obverse of the Year of the Dragon coin is decorated with the image of Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II" and "AUSTRALIA". Additionally, on the obverse side there is information about the nominal value, weight and mintage quality. The reverse shows a Chinese dragon.
