Another coin of the series "The Great Polish Economists".
This time the coin shows the figure of Stanisław Głąbiński (1862-1941). He was educated and became a professor of law at the University of Lviv, and held the position of rector of this university.
Głąbiński was one of the co-founders of the National Democratic Party and remained one of the leaders of the National Democratic Camp throughout the interwar period. After the outbreak of World War II, he was arrested by the Soviet NKVD near the border with Romania. He died in a staged prison in Kharkov.
He saw economics (which he called economics) as a field closely linked to politics and sociology. Głąbiński's most important work was the two-volume National Economy. Among other important works, it is worth mentioning the Treasury Science and the History of Economics.
The obverse of the coin features a fragment of Stanisław Głąbiński's speech entitled The Social and Economic Program of the People's and National Union. On the reverse of the coin there is an image of Stanisław Głąbiński and an outline of the image of the eagle established for the national emblem of the Republic of Poland from 1919-1927. Below the eagle there are the dates of birth and death of Stanisław Głąbiński.
