During his studies he travelled to Venice, after graduation he left for Paris and stayed there permanently. He especially often painted children, later also old people, and always liked flowers and landscapes. He exhibited a lot in France, while in the country he was not particularly famous. Today he is considered one of the most interesting Polish painters of the interwar period.
