Another coin from the "Legendary Warriors" series. The coin is a full legal tender of the Republic of Cameroon. It is placed in an elegant presentation case and contains a certificate of authenticity. The total circulation is limited to 500 copies worldwide. On the reverse is a Viking ready to attack. The additional gilding and red colouring adds drama to the scene. Vikings were Scandinavian warriors, who from the 8th century undertook distant expeditions of a merchant, robber and settler nature. The organisers of expeditions to Western Europe were, among others, the Danish and Norwegian Normans, as well as the inhabitants of today's southern Sweden. The Vikings reached North America long before Columbus. They sailed to the Labrador Peninsula - Vinland (the east coast of Canada). They were successful thanks to the great mobility of their boats (drakkars) and the compact formation called walls of shields. They used one-handed swords, axes, spears and the aforementioned shields.
