The second coin from the "Wildlife in the Moonlight" series.
This charming collector coin depicts the Grey Wolf.
The Grey Wolf is a species of predatory mammal from the canine family, inhabiting forests, plains, swamps and mountains of Eurasia and North America. The species has territorial tendencies. Typically, the territory occupied by the waddles is 100-300 km², but this size depends on the availability of food and land. There may be a share of the land by two competing packers. The wolf is able to cover a distance of several dozen kilometres per day. In search of a partner, the male can cover over 600 km within 2 weeks.
In the past, wolves used to be widespread, but the expansion of the man has resulted in a significant reduction of their population. Nowadays, in most countries, they are under species protection. Attempts are being made to reintroduce this species, on the widest scale in the USA, but also in Europe.
The engraving highlights the hair of the wolf, as well as the appearance of the trees that form the background for the animal. A high relief emphasizes every detail. In addition, the moon has been fully gilded.
The coin is packed in a box, together with a certificate of authenticity.
