This coin belongs to the "Gods" series. This silver coin was minted from two ounces of pure silver. In addition, it was oxidized to bring out its antique finish. The reverse of the coin shows the image of the attacking Zeus holding lightning in his hand. The obverse is unchanged throughout the series - it is the image of Queen Elizabeth II with a Greek pattern. Zeus - the highest of the gods in Greek mythology. Ruler of heaven and earth, called "the father of gods and people". Its attributes were lightning bolts, an eagle and a shield called an egis. As the main deity of the Greek pantheon, Zeus appears (in the main or a minor role) in almost all Greek myths.
