The Royal Canadian Mint presents its latest coin series – 'This is Canada: Wonderful Waters.' The collection features magnificent landscapes and exceptional views, showcasing Canada in all its beauty and splendor.
The coins in this series are made of pure silver with a purity of 99.9%, weighing 1 ounce and having a face value of 20 dollars. They are packaged in boxes along with an attached certificate of authenticity.
All four coins in the series depict views of water bodies surrounding Canada, and their unique designs were created thanks to the talent of regional artists.
1. PACIFIC COAST
The reverse side of the coin takes us to British Columbia, where we can admire the Pacific coastline. The designer of this iconic coastal scenery is the British Columbia artist Glen Green.
On the reverse side, you can spot killer whales swimming in the waters near a rocky island. In the background, majestic forests and mountains delineate the shoreline.
The compass elements surround the engraved portrait, creating a frame containing the inscription 'CANADA' and the denomination '20 DOLLARS'.
The obverse features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt. The obverse also includes a special mark containing four pearls symbolizing the four portraits that adorned Canadian coins, along with the dual date of Queen's reign.
2. ARCTIC COAST
The reverse depicts Canada's Arctic coastline. The designer of this unique motif is the artist Inuvialuit Myrna Pokiak.
The moonlit scene portrays a berry picker, symbolizing traditional foods and land-based harvesting activities.
We can also notice an owl, a polar bear, and in the water lapping the shore, you can see the tail of a beluga whale.

3. ATLANTIC COAST
The reverse of the coin showcases a cliff view on the Atlantic coast of Canada. The designer of this picturesque motif is artist Bonnie Ross.
In the foreground, we can see Atlantic puffins. In the background, atop the rocky cliff surrounded by trees, stands a lighthouse – an icon of Atlantic Canadian maritime history.

The designer of this picturesque motif is Claudio D'Angelo, and the idyllic scenery was inspired by the rocky shores of Georgian Bay, where in the scene, we can see a moose standing in the water between rocky islands covered with pine trees.
